Yes, I got a Canon. I still consider myself a Nikon guy, but in this case I think it's okay to be bipartisan.

One of the main reasons I got this was to sneak it into concerts. I'm currently trying not to think about how much I've spent already on tickets for summer concerts. It is ridiculous what they charge for tickets nowadays. As a result, I don't feel the least bit guilty about taking pictures. Anyway, I can't very well take my D300 in with me, so this will do nicely. It's a good compromise between features, quality, size, and price for me.

I wanted something smaller than the S5 to carry while walking around town and running errands. The SD1100 ELPH should do the trick.

NewEgg had a good deal on the camera. The 4GB Kingston Class 4 SDHC card and the Dolica pouch were included for free and there was free shipping for the whole package. I want to find a smaller hard case for the camera though.
